About Nezeza Ijuru

A name shaped by heaven's joy.

Nezeza Ijuru is an annual evangelistic campaign of Zion Temple Kimironko. It exists because one person coming home to God matters deeply—to that person, to the Church, and to heaven.

The name

Make heaven rejoice.

Nezeza Ijuru means “make heaven rejoice.” The name comes from Jesus' teaching that heaven rejoices when one person turns from sin and returns to God (Luke 15:7, 10).

That joy gives the campaign its direction: every invitation, message, act of care, and gathering points people toward reconciliation with their Creator through Jesus Christ.

The beginning

A Gospel call rooted in Kimironko.

Nezeza Ijuru began in 2017 as an evangelism programme of Zion Temple Kimironko. It answers the Great Commission by making disciples, beginning with the community God has placed before us.

In a changing world that offers many answers but cannot satisfy the soul, we proclaim Jesus as life and light: the One who overcomes darkness and gives lasting hope.

The response

Faith that reaches beyond a gathering.

The campaign joins the proclamation of the Gospel with compassionate care, discipleship, family formation, youth investment, worship, and revival. We want a response to Christ to become a life steadily formed by Christ.
